Real & Fake Graphene
Graphene it is a two dimensional material up to 10 layers thick for
electrical measurements, beyond which the electrical properties
of the material are not distinct from graphite. As the number of
layers increases, the distinct characteristics of graphene
diminishes and multy-layer graphene eventually become graphite
loosing all the features unique to graphene. For this reason,
staking of graphene sheets should be limited to few layers, better
if less than 5, to be used in graphene based applications.

Graphene Functionalization & Dispersion
To create graphene-based products for real market it is not enough to use high-quality graphene, it is necessary to proceed with the right functionalization and proper dispersion. A well dispersed state ensures availability of maximum surface area of graphene, which will affect the neighbouring polymer chains and, consequently, the properties of the whole composite.
